home

words-n-thoughts:

I always thought home was a place:

a four-walled shelter I go to at the end of the day,

somewhere I can be myself in, a place to call my own,

the safest haven through the strongest storm.

But it wasn’t ‘til I met

you,

that I felt like I didn’t want to come back to

the place I called home my whole life.

At the end of each day I find myself

wanting to run into your arms,

where I’d love to fall asleep in

and wake up full of warmth.

While the thing I knew before still holds true,

that home is a place where I live;

I feel most alive when I’m with you.
